What Do Kids Do at Summer Science Camp?
Destination Science provides unique camp programs each summer. Camps run one, two, three or four weeks, and they’re open to kids ages 5 to 11. Each session shares the same daily schedule:
- Three Science Stations with 70-minute experiments that combine collaborative and independent work
- Two Outside Action Stations, where kids play games outside
- One Camp Rally, which caps off each day with songs and a look at campers’ accomplishments
We encourage kids to empathize and practice kindness by rewarding them when we see these characteristics around camp. Children receive “terrific” beads, which they can string on their lanyard to recognize these standout traits.
