What Campers Do at Our Los Angeles STEM Camps
Each summer, we offer unique themed camps lasting one, two, three or four weeks. These camps, geared toward kids ages 5 to 11, explore scientific concepts through real-life, hands-on activities. A typical day consists of:
- Three Science Stations, where children do experiments by beginning in small groups and then working independently
- Two Outside Action Stations, where kids play outside and burn off their energy
- Camp Rally, our end-of-the-day meeting where we discuss campers’ accomplishments
How Early STEM and Science Camps Help Kids
We demonstrate the link between cause and effect at our camps, and we encourage kids’ curiosity about science. They can discover new ideas, improve their academic skills and bring home models they’ll continue to learn from months later. Our camps also assist children in building social skills. They can learn the value of collaboration and communication, make new friends and build resiliency by trying new things and seeing that it’s okay to fail. They also build character by helping others around them.
