We’re united by a passion for providing girls and boys wonderful experiences with the amazing world of science. Our dream is to not just grow knowledge, but help children grow as people. Science fun is a fantastic way to do this.

For the last 21 years, our team has been committed to creating unique, memorable, and valuable summer science programs for children. We are proud of our reputation for serving children and families.

Meet Kathy

Kathy Heraghty loves to bring science concepts to life for kids in a fun, safe, and exploratory setting.

Kathy received her BS degree from UCLA in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. She has been a teacher/trainer throughout her career, first as a softball umpire and college athletic trainer, and later as an exercise physiologist/technologist with the Pritikin Longevity Center.

Destination Science is a chance for kids to really dig into science fun — with hands-on experiences — and satisfy their curiosities!”

Meet Sharon

Sharon Fogg has an extensive background in education, including tenure as a Science Facilitator in the Placentia-Yorba School District in California for 13 years.

She ran the Fullerton Youth Science Center Museum program for five years, and developed curriculum and trained educators at Science Adventures for 15 years. Sharon has a degree in Psychology and Child Development from Fullerton College.

Watching as young children make sense of the world around them is truly priceless!”

Meet Heena

Heena Desai holds a Masters in Biochemistry from M.S. University and a Masters in Special Education from Bombay University.

She’s taught in the field of science education since 1988, including time spent as the Science Specialist and then Director of Operations for Science Adventures. She continues to be a Science Specialist at an elementary school in California.

Helping girls & boys think both critically and creatively in a hands-on environment creates a strong foundation for the next generation of leaders and innovators.”
